IRAP STATEMENT ON THE SHOOTING AT THE TREE OF LIFE SYNAGOGUE IN PITTSBURGH
(New York, NY) – In response to yesterday’s shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, in which 11 people were murdered and several more injured, the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) at the Urban Justice Center issued the following statement:
“We are in shock and mourning for the lives lost, and think about the family members left behind. We strongly condemn this hateful attack. We stand with the Jewish community, our friends at HIAS, and the refugees fleeing from persecution they seek to assist. Neither we nor our colleagues at HIAS will be intimidated by hatred.”
