Conflicts in Syria and Iraq have displaced millions of people. In a push to protect those forced to flee, HIAS has drafted a petition to President Obama requesting that the United States increase its refugee resettlement ceiling. The United States currently resettles 70,000 refugees per year; HIAS’ petition proposes to increase that number to 100,000.
Increasing the resettlement ceiling would enable the United States to protect more of the most vulnerable Syrians and Iraqis and to support the countries currently hosting them. Add your name today!
