George Packer recently blogged on thenewyorker.com about a different type of debt owed by the United States, this one to thousands of Iraqi refugees. Citing several of IRAP’s cases, he concludes: “Multiply these brief stories by the thousands, and you have one of the most disgraceful legacies of the decade since September 11th—a scandal that has only grown worse during the Obama years.”
